Terrain
A whole map
/atlas map <x1> <z1> <x2> <z2> [seed] [terrain] [world]
Builds terrain over the whole box, with its surface layers, sea and snow line. It clears the full column above the new ground, so nothing of the old world is left hanging over it. A 1024×1024 map is about 200 million blocks and takes a little over a minute from the console.
| Option | Values |
|---|---|
terrain |
a kind of relief: hills, mountains, rolling, plateau, mesa, dunes, islands, archipelago and more; /atlas noises lists them |
--height |
how tall the relief gets, 10 to 200 |
--base |
the lowest ground, -60 to 250 |
--sea |
sea level, or -1000 for no sea |
--snow |
the height snow starts at, or none |
For a map a town will sit on, gentle relief and no snow work best:
/atlas map 700 700 940 940 1492 hills --height 14 --base 68 --snow none
Relief inside a selection
/atlas terrain <noise> <block> [height] [zoom] [seed]
Fills the WorldEdit selection with relief in one block. zoom is how wide the features are.
Erosion
/atlas erode <mode> [strength] [passes]
Modes: smooth, melt, fill, lift, float. Strength 1 flattens and 10 barely touches.
Roads and rivers
Walk the route and run /atlas mark at each point, then:
/atlas road <block> [width] [thickness]
/atlas river <block> [width] [depth]
The road is laid over the terrain along a curve through the marks; the river is dug through them.
/atlas clearmarks starts over.
